Golf Places 10th at the Weather-Shortened Navy Spring Invitational

The Drexel golf team finished in a tie for 10th place at the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, Md. The tournament, which was scheduled for 36 holes, had the final 18 holes cancelled due to inclement weather.
The scores reflected the difficult playing conditions. In the cold weather, Drexel managed to shoot a 313, tying them with Millersville for 10th place overall. St. Bonaventure won the tournament with a score of 300. Longwood finished in second at 301, while Penn placed third with a 303.
Senior Jack Wallace (Beverly, N.J./Rancocas Valley) and junior Steve Ransom (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) were the top performers for Drexel. Both players shot a 77. They tied for 31st overall individually. Sean Semenetz (Tyler Hill, Pa./Sullivan West (N.Y.) ended the tournament with a 79. Freshman Frank Petrash (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) chipped in with an 80 and Joe April (Sewell, N.J./St. Augustine Prep) carded an 83.
